Let's be clear. The term Plastic Envelopes can be confusing. At APEC, we have two different types of Plastic Envelopes.
Our Clear Cellophane Envelopes are made of “Biaxially Oriented PolyPropylene” film. It is produced in large rolls and is used in a number of industries. Some of the coolest properties of BOPP are its high tensile strength, water repellency, heat sealablility, and of course its perfect transparency! These envelopes are approved by the US Postal Service for mailings. Please visit your local Post Office or consult the USPS web site for their specific policies and restrictions. If you need something a little more durable, our Laminated Clear Plastic Envelopes have the same crystal clarity with a little more toughness.
All of our other Plastic Envelopes fall into the "POLY ENVELOPE" category. These are made from a heavier plastic in clear and many colors. You can choose from lots of sizes and different closures. We carry Poly String that uses the classic string and button closure, Poly Tuck-In that has a slot and flap closure, Poly Zip that uses the small zip shuttle to open and close the envelope, and finally there is Poly Velcro with a small rectangular velcro closure.
